Good hotel, well maintained and clean. Friendly helpful staff. Couple of things could be better - there's no fridge or safe in the room, safety deposit boxes are available at reception but that's less convenient. Air con is a bit poor, struggles in hot weather and only runs for a limited time.
Hotel staff were great and even allowed us to order room service ahead of check in for our young daughters. It was ready as soon as we arrived. Only downside was the parking close to the hotel wasn’t very secure looking and the recommended parking was a short walk away. But there is room outside the hotel to drop bags/kids etc. Rooms reasonable size & quality for the price. Staff very helpful and accommodating.

Pleasant, friendly and clean. Comfy beds and good breakfast selection. Perfect for an overnight stay in Southampton. Was fortunate enough to stay in the Vintage Floral Room, which my daughters and partner loved. Thank you Novotel for a great experience!
This is a decent hotel. The rooms were a good size and we're clean to a good standard. BUT!... While check in we were told that there is a charity boxing match being held at the hotel that night with 1500 plus people attending. Which wasn't an issue but would have been nice to be aware of this when booking.

Stayed one night on a very hot Sunday but the fan in the room gave me a decent nights sleep. Got a fantastic deal for £28. Room extremely clean. Big massive double bed. Friendly and helpful staff what more can you ask for for the great price. Brilliant value for money!!
Flying visit, but pleased. The receptionist on arrival was very helpful, clean, well presented room, could have done with air conditioning and blackout curtains as room got very warm. Excellent value for money. We did not have any breakfast, but it smelled great! Parking is available underneath the hotel at a reasonable rate but is subject to availability, first come first served.

The place was great. The food fantastic. Someone other than my & my party put the 2* review on here. The staff were more than helpful in resolving a problem not of their making & we look forward to staying there again hopefully in the not too distant future. VW
Stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time! Rooms are clean, cute and have everything you need. Hotel staff is very attentive. Pub downstairs has amazing food and servers are very warm and friendly. Would definitely go back again and again!

Nice little pub with lots of choice for drinks and food. Amazing chicken strips (super crispy batter) very pricey burgers l. Didn't try them as some were 16 quid a go so I can't comment to how good they are or if they're worth that price. They had lots of ales and Asahi on tap! But it wasn't on when I went. No parking- can stop for one hour on the road at side of pub. They have a beer "garden" (benches outside)
I bloody love this pub! We come here after going to the climbing wall. The staff are lovely. Theres a great selection on the menu and everything that I've tried has been great. Thank you x

Friendly traditional style pub. Great atmosphere. Good choice of ales and very reasonable prices. Need to note payment is cash only NO cards accepted.
Its a sports bar. Mixed young and old noisy. Good place to start the night off.

Excellent place to find a small flat rate than hotel room. V clean and neat. I stayed in a studio, lots available. All the equipment you need with cooker, crockery, washing up liquid and even tab for washer/dryer (for clothes). V conveniently located opposite cinema and Tesco local + a few minutes walk from the Quays shopping centre. Staff are not on site but very friendly and helpful. Milan was good enough to meet me at the property on my first day even though I was running late. Only issue is limited parking. Depending on exactly where you are, parking lots are relatively cheap or Tesco is free from 6pm to 2am and outside property free from 8pm to 8am.
I had to spend three nights in Southampton and chose to try one of the new studios in Canute Road managed by Town or Country. For such a short stay it was ideal. Compact yet with all new fittings, its location opposite Ocean Village was perfect. Free laundry facilities are available on site. With the ongoing construction of an adjacent building I had my reservations about staying there. However, these were totally unfounded as the work is in the less noisy latter stages of completion. I was not disturbed by noise and had three good night's sleep. At the current rate available online it is a very good deal.

A nice cosy place in Southampton city and it's very near by to the Southampton port. Place is little bit small but all the facilities are very good. It includes breakfast in the morning which is a typical English breakfast and you will really love it. Rooms are good enough and have bedding , towels and inbuilt wasin. Bathroom on each floor are typically 2 and shared but those are cleaned properly so no issues. Would suggest as good place for short stay in Southampton.
Lovely room friendly hostess and the other guests also parking is a grey area unless you pay extra, I recommend you pay extra. The breakfast was lovely also. All at a great price as well, close to the centre 5 min walk through a park

Owners really welcoming, kind and helpful. Beds so comfortable. Breakfast lovely. Scrambled egg brilliant! Would definitely stay again.
Great place. Nice room. Only issue is breakfast was disorganised and took 45mins to serve bacon and eggs to 2 people. Need a to get a waitress in.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
