Everest Cuisine

1 Queensway, Southampton SO14 3AQ, UK – 023 8022 6388

Great birthday party arrangement and excellent food!!! It was great experience to have my son's first birthday arranged at Everest Cuisine. Starting from all arrangement to helpful staff and service. Excellent food and one of the authentic Indian cuisine. All my guests praised a lot about food. Highly appreciate the efforts of Mr Dhana for taking all our hassles, specially when we were turned down by a restaurant a night before our party and providing a great party experience.

I have only ever been here for buffet food when there has been an event on and their food quality is great! Always a full buffet and refreshed constantly. I'll be back a lot!

La Regata

Town Quay, Southampton SO14 2AR, UK – 023 8022 3456

Been a number of times now. Always very good. My Spanish girlfriend and her parents compare it very favorably to restaurants in Spain. I will definitely be back.

Very good and tasty spanish tapas. Good and friendly atmosphere. Its not so pricey

Labelfood θ»Šδ»”ζͺ”

Great food, friendly staff, reasonably priced and decent location near the university.

Authentic mouth-watering Chinese dishes. Reasonably priced. Quality food. Friendly staff. As a Hongkonger, I am sure it is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Southampton. πŸ‘

Sanjha

296 Shirley Rd, Southampton SO15 3HL, UK – 023 8077 5565

Sat near the open plan kitchen, I could hear all the hard work going in to the food prep.. shaking, sizzling wok style curry magic.. and boy do they get it right. Spicy cooked, very flavourful result. Service is pleasantly friendly, you feel both welcomed and at home with the chatty staff. I like this place.. β€œI’ll be back” as the saying goes.

Outstanding Punjabi food and attentive staff. Would have received five stars, but it's always a little too bright and noisy in here for our liking. The wonderful food, however, helps us overlook the deficits.

Tiger Lilly Restaurant

3 Winchester St, Southampton SO15 2EL, UK – 023 8036 6344

Nice variety of food and not too pricey

Great food, went for the buffet which costs a little over Β£13 and also comes with starters and appetisers, staff very friendly, helpful and polite. Ordered a pint of cobra and a glass of wine with the meal and the wine was a large glass, drinks came to about Β£10. So for about Β£38 for two people with all you can eat is very good value. Will definitely be back, especially as I enjoy my curries and my wife likes Chinese.

Indian Melody

25 High St, Southampton SO14 2DF, UK – 023 8063 8998

Very grateful that coriander lounge was fully booked otherwise would have never of found this place! I didn't get the impression that my meat eating friend was overly enthusiastic about going to a veggie Indian but was completely over ruled considering the amount of harvesters and steak houses and nandos I have to put up with and the same two boring meal options. In the end she loved it and we both agreed the Best indian we've had and the most different. We found the service really good as well, didn't pay attention to the waiters hair but am assuming we weren't waited on by this ponytail guy other reviewers are complaining about.

Best Reviewed Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

Puccini's Italian Restaurant Shirley

325 Shirley Rd, Southampton SO15 3HW, UK – 023 8076 4522

This is my family's go to Italian restaurant. Fantastic, family friendly atmosphere. All of the staff are long term employees and it is great to see them time and time again. Fabulous food cooked in an open kitchen with a great wine selection. Birthday guests get to eat for free and the loyalty scheme is a welcome bonus. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My meal was good but my dad's steak was tiny. They serve your meal on a massive plate and give you the tiniest amount of food. When the food came out in front of my father, it looked like me paid all that money on a bit of meat and the plate! It really was disappointing because it was some good steak too. πŸ˜•πŸ–

ASK Italian

Unit 3, Leisure World, W Quay Rd, Southampton SO15 1RE, UK – 023 8178 1378

Nice little resteraunt with good service and good quality food. Like it when u can see the food being prepared and the kitchen was a bit quirky design. . Obviously the Westquay is very popular now but this was good and easily reached from the ibis hotel.

Quiet surroundings. God food. Good service. Just fine.

Carluccio's

Unit SU55/56, West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton SO15 1QF, UK – 023 8023 8872

I love this place, the food and the staff. They can't do enough for you. So helpful, friendly and children friendly. It's one of our favourite place to eat in Southampton. The coffee is excellent and we bought some to take home. They have a nice deli to buy delicious goods.

A reasonably comfortable and personable little restaurant offering respite from the busy shopping centre. In all honesty the wine isn't quite as chilled as it should be and the dishes are always served slightly cooler than I prefer but that is the genuine and authentic Mediterranean way. This place is a gem of relative sophistication when compared with the alternatives upstairs or across the way in the cinema complex. We are regular visitors to John Lewis and Carluccio's has become a trusted venue we look forward to.

Rumba Gallery

Very helpful staff, nice food, nibbles menu complicated.

This has been our second home for many years and although we sadly see some lovely staff come and go and recently new management, we always feel welcome. What I love that they cater for all ages and there is always a friendly atmosphere. Heather the JD & Diet Coke Lady xx

Bring & Mix - Southampton

36 Upper Bannister St, Southampton SO15 2EF, UK

What's not to like. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great choice of cocktail flavours to experiment with.

Absolutely loved it. Great drinks, friendly staff who knew their cocktails, and otherworldly venue. One of my favourite bars - and not just in Southampton...

Banana Wharf Ocean Village

33 Channel Way, Southampton SO14 3JF, UK – 023 8033 8866

I have been here many of times good service especially from Kira who recently served me. She is a natural at her job and she offers exceptional customer service and she always has a smile on her face while doing that. A true asset to the company she works for!

Fantastic restaurant with great welcome from staff and service with a smile. Comfortable surroundings on the marina at ocean village. Food was absolutely amazing a little pricey though if your on a budget!

Southampton Chinese Restaurants

Shanghai Bay

17A Above Bar St, Southampton SO14 7DX, UK – 023 8022 6636

Authentic Chinese food, friendly waiting staff and comfortable atmosphere. I love their freshly baked Chinese cakes and tarts.

Don't let the slightly tired exterior and upstairs arrangement fool you, this is a great quality, authentic Chinese restaurant. I went as part of a big group and we ordered a set menu of half meat and half vegetarian dishes, so I was presented with things that I would not have ordinarily chosen. Of note the aubergine fritters were crisp and very tasty. The sweet and sour tofu was soft with a crispy exterior in a pleading sauce. Kung po chicken was similarly delicious, but a little more fiery. The prices were good too. I would come again!

Supreme Asian Cuisine 馬來小逨

134 High St, Southampton SO14 2BR, UK – 023 8057 0670

A very nice place to eat. Very good mix Asian food. Just take cash as they do not have card reader to pay. Otherwise 10 out off 10

Excellent. Every visit. Thanks and keep up the great service

88 Chinese Restaurant

44 London Rd, Southampton SO15 2AH, UK – 023 8036 7736

Excellent service and food fantastic. Staff first class and decore is wonderful

Brought a take away for my Grandfather who is really picky with his choice and quality of food. Ordered a off the menu chinese specialty, "Ho-Fun Stir Fry with Fish & Beancurd (Tofu). Having tasted a bite myself first, I must say I was impress with the freshness of Fish & Beancurd and the flavour was perfectionist. My Grandfather ate it all and left me with nothing but the smell to digust my own hunger. Highly recommend this family run business.

Ironside House, Southampton SO14 3TN, UK – 023 8033 3221

Exceptionally delicious. Fresh food comes out when it's ready. Great size small plates with tons of flavour. Good cocktail and wine list. Service was friendly and not overbearing. No complaints whatsoever! Totally recommend a visit.

Really really nice food, welcoming atmosphere and the staff are super helpful. Remarkably reasonably priced for the quality of restaurant. Would reccomend πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘

The Real Greek - Southampton

7, Westquay Shopping Centre South level 1, Southampton SO15 1DE, UK – 023 8111 2102

It is a spacious restaurant with a great al fresco dining area overlooking a modern square surrounded by the old city walls. The staff were really attentive, efficient and explained the menu beautifully. Now the food, which came when it was ready instead of all at once and every single thing was delicious and cooked to perfection. Good combo/sharing options too for couples or parties. Kids loved their mini mezes and the location worked well for little ones. A very positive and tasty experience.

This would of been a 5 star rating had the first waiter actually seemed interested in his job. Was really disappointed by his attitude as if us being there was a massive burden to him and we should of know what wasn't available on the menu that evening. However, the food was absolutely amazing prices was really reasonable and the food portions are perfect for a few plates. The customer service after the first waiter was also polite and attentive. Would definatley reccomend this place and I will be returning!

Yates

113-117 Above Bar St, Southampton SO14 7FH, UK – 023 8063 4609

Lovely view of a beautiful park. Delightful staff and service. Nothing too much. They have a diplomatic approach to dealing with those who cause problems. For which this Prince in England is most grateful. They maintain the outside as they do the inside. Which is appropriate.

Service is always fast and polite. Plus, whenever we've ordered food; the food is delivered very quick and always hot with decent portions.

The Hobbit

134 Bevois Valley Rd, Southampton SO14 0JZ, UK – 023 8023 2591

Hobbit themed pub with a lot of rustic character. There are Hobbit ornamental statues and paintings inspired from the story. The huge beer garden is fantastic and offers open and sheltered spaces. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to the garden. The drinks are very reasonably priced. There are different offers and events depending on what day of the week it is, including open mic and live bands.

Dog friendly. Great staff. Lovely atmosphere. Awesome cocktails, reasonably priced. Served in a pint, how cocktails should be.

The Rockstone

63 Onslow Rd, Bevois Valley, Southampton SO14 0JL, UK – 023 8063 7256

Nice little pub with lots of choice for drinks and food. Amazing chicken strips (super crispy batter) very pricey burgers l. Didn't try them as some were 16 quid a go so I can't comment to how good they are or if they're worth that price. They had lots of ales and Asahi on tap! But it wasn't on when I went. No parking- can stop for one hour on the road at side of pub. They have a beer "garden" (benches outside)

I bloody love this pub! We come here after going to the climbing wall. The staff are lovely. Theres a great selection on the menu and everything that I've tried has been great. Thank you x
